Robert on Vanity fair Italy
Non bisogna essere molto intelligenti per capirlo: generalmente parlando, ci sono destini peggiori che quello di diventare un ragazzo-poster costretto a nascondersi dalle fan fra le mura di hotel a cinque stelle sparsi qua e là per il mondo. E Robert Pattinson sembra che intelligente lo sia parecchio. Però sembra anche che, personalmente parlando, il suo destino non l’abbia preso per il verso giusto. È giovane (a maggio compirà 25 anni), ha un sacco di soldi, il successo, un lavoro, quello dell’attore, che mezzo mondo gli invidia e, potenzialmente, tutte le donne che desidera. Eppure si vede lontano un miglio che non è felice. E la ragione, credo, sta proprio nel fatto che è abbastanza intelligente da capire di non essere così speciale. È rimasto con i piedi per terra e la testa sul collo mentre tutti intorno a lui impazzivano. Il che lo rende una brava persona, ma orrendamente sola. Io l’ho incontrato, qualche settimana fa, per la promozione del film Come l’acqua per gli elefanti.Nato in una normale famiglia londinese – sua madre lavorava in un’agenzia di modelle, suo padre vendeva auto d’epoca – pensava da grande di occuparsi di relazioni internazionali. La parte di Cedric in Harry Potter e il calice di fuoco arrivò quasi per caso, e lo stesso per il ruolo che gli avrebbe cambiato la vita: il vampiro Edward Cullen in Twilight.
Come l’acqua per gli elefanti è un film d’amore.
«Quello che ha attirato me è il periodo storico, la Grande Depressione, e il circo. È affascinante».
Resta il fatto che si tratta soprattutto della storia tra Jacob e Marlena.
«Ma anche se all’inizio puoi pensare: “Ora lui arriva, la vede, si piacciono e scappano insieme”, la storia è più complessa. Jacob non vuole prendere, è pronto a dare soltanto. La miglior relazione che possa esistere».
Lei potrebbe avere una storia con una donna sposata?
«La vita non è o bianco o nero. Ci sonopersone sposate che neppure si frequentano, possiamo definirlo matrimonio? Ma c’è una cosa che non ho mai capito: perché la gente tradisce».
Non capisce un comportamento praticato dalla maggioranza della popolazione?
«Comprendo l’impulso, ma non come si possano mantenere in piedi due relazioni a lungo. E se mi rendo conto che possa succedere a chi ha figli, davvero mi sfugge perché uno libero da impegni dovrebbe scegliere di avere quattro ragazze contemporaneamente. Dev’essere una vita d’inferno, soprattutto per l’uomo».
Nel tradimento non crede. E nell’amore finché morte non separi, come quello del film?
«I miei genitori si sono conosciuti quando mia mamma aveva 17 anni e mio padre 25, stanno ancora insieme e sembrano molto felici. Sono cresciuto credendo che si possa stare insieme tutta la vita».

You don't have to be smart to understand that, generally speaking, there is worst than became a poster-guy who needs to hide from the fans in a five star hotel room around the world. And it looks like Robert is a very smart guy. But is also looks like, in his everyday life, that he didn't took his destiny from the bright side. He is young (25 years old in May), he has money, success, a job, actor, which half of the world would love to have and all the women whom he could have. But you can see he is not happy.
The reason, I believe, is because he is smart enought to understand that he is not that special. He is still down-to-earth even when the whole world is going crazy for him. That makes him a good person, but so so lonely. I met him a few weeks ago, for the promotion of the movie "Water for Elephants".
Born in a normal English family - his mother working for a model agency, his father used to sell vintage cars - he was going to work on international relations. His role as Cedric in Harry Potter and the Globet of Fire was a lucky event and the same was for the role that was going to change is life: the Vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight.
Water for Ekephants is a romance movie. "What attracted me was the historical period, the great depression, the circus, it's fascinating".
The main plot is however the story between Jacob and Marlena. "Even if at the beginning you are thinking "oh now he comes and sees her, they like each other they run away together" the story is more than that. Jacob is ready to give, not to take. Best relationship ever".
Could you have an affair with a married woman?
"Life is not black or white. There are married people that don't see each other, can we define that as marriage? There is one thing I've never understood: why people cheat"
You can't understand something that most people do???
“I understand the impulse, but not how you can maintain 2 relationships for long. And though I realize that can happen to those who have children, I can't really understand how someone free of any commitment could possible choose to have four women at the same time. it must be like hell for a man”
You don't believe in cheating. What about in the happly ever after, like a movie ending?
“My parents met when my mom was 17 and my father 25, they are still together and seem very happy. I grew up believing that you can be together all life."

Anche in Italia Vanity Fair dedicherà la copertina a Robert Pattinson (numero di MAggio). Sul sito è stato pubblicato un anteprima :
"Non so perché ma tutte le interviste a Robert Pattinson, quasi tutte almeno, cominciano con la descrizione del modo in cui è vestito. La mia intervista, però, non è ancora scritta: sarà pronta in occasione dell’uscita in Italia del suo nuovo film post «Twilight», ovvero «Water for Elephants», probabilmente a maggio. Ma quando mi ci metterò so che, tanto per fare qualcosa di diverso, non dirò nulla su come era vestito.So anche, però, che nel caso di Pattinson, anche il minimo dettaglio non può andare sprecato, perché milioni di donne nel mondo, dai 9 anni in su, sacrificherebbero molto di più di un’unghia spezzata pur di mettere le mani sulla più piccola notizia che lo riguarda.Ecco, quindi, un resoconto dettagliato del Pattinson look.Intanto la location: una suite al secondo piano del Four Season hotel a Los Angeles.

Eccovi la traduzione completa dell'articolo uscito oggi su EW magazine.Kristen Stewart arriva portando con se un pacchetto. L’ attrice, timida, estremamente bella, di soli 20 anni che ha già recitato in molti film, ha portato alla crew una torta fatta con frutta proveniente dal giardino degli Stewart.
Siamo qui con gli attori Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart e Taylor Lautener per parlare del film Eclipse, 3° capitolo della saga di Twilight, ma al momento nessuno è interessato a fare domande, ma tutti sono impegnati a mangiare il dolce, “Non è calda e ci andrebbe un po’ di gelato,e queste sono le due cose che la rendono straodinaria!”,dice Kristen, “ ma credo andrà bene lo stesso come sapore!”
Quando Twilight uscì nelle sale due anni fa la neo 18enne Kristen non avrebbe mai pensato di portare un dolce ad un intervista, troppo nervosa e proccupata per le domande e le risposte. Oggi la Stewart e i i suoi coprotagonisti sono molto più sciolti. La loro carriera è lanciata, La Stewart sta per iniziare la registrazione di “on the road2 Taylor è impegnato con il nuovo film “Abduction” e Pattinson sta girando con Reese Witherspoon il film “Water for Elephant”.
Gli attori hanno creato un trio molto forte ed unito, di difendono l’ uno con l’ altro, sono molto famigliari tra di loro.
In che modo Eclipse è migliore degli altri due film?
LAUTNER: decisamente è il mio preferito
PATTINSON: non è che mi piaccia poi molto (ridendo) immagina se lo pensassi veramente
STEWART: è sempre molto difficile dirlo, perché siamo legati a questi film, faccio sempre queste liste enormi in cui segno se tutto quello che ho fatto rispetta l’ equilibrio della storia. Ma so con certezza di aver toccato meno i miei capelli.
Parlando dei tuoi capelli, non ci hai giocato moltissimo in questo film.
STEWART: (ridendo) no, perché non erano i miei capelli
LAUTNER: no era una parrucca
STEWART: sto per essere veramente onesta: Si finalmente non ho più questo tic.
Le scene sentimentali hanno veramente un ruolo importante in questo film, credo
STEWART: questa è la prima volta in cui Bella indugia di più su Jacob e si accorge che ci sono due strade ugualmente importanti nella sua vita, e non solo una. Ha dovuto baciarlo per capirlo.
LAUNTER: (rivolto a Pattinson) Stai per caso facendo sollevamento pesi??
STEWART: ad essere sinceri si lo sta facendo.
LAUTNER: veramente, ha appena alzato il braccio, e un bicipide è spuntato fuori.
Per caso stai lo stai facendo per compesanre il fatto che tutti parlano sempre del corpo di Taylor?
PATTINSON: Un disperato tentativo. Ho una disfunzione del corpo. Mi resta sempre la pancia.
Una delle scene più attese è quella della tenda durante la tempesta di neve. Jacob deve riscaldare Bella con il suo corpo perchè Edward è un vampiro e non può farlo.
LAUTNER: La scena della tenda è probabilmente una delle mie preferite, perchè è la prima volta che Edward e Jacob possono veramente conoscersi e capirsi più affondo.
Quanti ciak ci sono voluti per farla tutta?
LAUTNER: Due giorni pieni di riprese, e un giorno di reshooting.
Perchè?
PATTINSON: Il regista voleva che fosse leggermente più erotica, non sto scherzando
STEWART: è vero. Nel libro c' è tantissima tensione sessuale. Anche se so dormendo, Jacob è attaccato al mio corpo così vulnerabile ed è nudo in questo fottuto saccoapelo perchè così il tuo cuore batte più velocemente, e Jacob e Edward si stanno confrontando.
Taylor, tu e Rob avete parecchi scontri fisici in questo film
LAUTNER: Alcune delle scene sono state davvero difficili per me. Abbiamo rovinato parecchi ciak davanti la casa e nella tenda. è solo che, non so. trovo difficile guardarlo..
STEWART: AH! "trovo molto difficile guardarlo"!
LAUTNER: [ride] Non avevo finito. Io e Rob siamo praticamente attaccai. siamo distanti neanche un metro, e ci stiamo urlando in faccia.
STEWART: e vi state per baciare....
LAUTNER: Alcune volte è sembrato così.
PATTINSON: Tutte le volte che dovevamo fare una scena in cui ci minacciavamo a vicenda- prima di tutto tu eri sempre senza maglietta, e così nella scena della tenda ti ho praticamente afferrato una tetta. Ed è davvero difficile rimanere concentrati in quei momenti. Inoltre, sempre nella scena della tenda, non riesco a togliermi l' idea che le parola "thought"(pensieri) suona come la parola "FART" (scoreggia).
STEWART: Anche se in realtà THOUGHT non assomiglia affatto a FART.
PATTINSON: invece si.
STEWART: Forse perchè tu sei inglese.
PATTINSON: è successo nella scena in cui la frase era "Can you at least keep your farts to yourself!" Non riuscirò mai a scordare questa frase.
Taylor hai lavorato così tanto per avere questo corpo e recitare in New Moon, Smetterai prima o poi di mettere su muscoli?? Vedremo mai una tua foto in cui i paparazzi ti hanno beccato mentre mangia una dozzina di ciambelle?
LAUTNER: Certamente passami quel contenitore e vedrai che mi mangerò tutta la torta adesso.
PATTINSON: io mangerei volentieri il contenitore.
LAUTNER: baro un sacco di volte, devo stare molto più a regime quando stiamo girando i film, o quando abbiamo qualche servizio fotografico, ma alcune volte mangio gelato o anche un pezzo di torta.
Rob quale è il segreto per non doversi mai togliere la maglietta nei film?
PATTINSON: non fare esercizi, continuo a chiedere a tutti perché sarebbe meglio se togliessi la maglietta in una scena, ma tutti quanti rispondon con mille ragioni per cui non dovrei farlo. “Non, non credo. Edward è molto più casto di così”
STEWART: “è una persona modesta. È molto più modesto!”
PATTINSON: e allora io risponderei “No, seriamente, mi piacerebbe indossare una maglietta veramente aderente che mostri un po’ di stomaco in basso. E magari essere anche un po’ sudato.”
Vi paicerebbe lavorare di nuovo in un franchise così grande?
STEWART: mi piacerebbe se fosse come questo
PATTINSON: è solo la parte della promozione, che è la più difficile. Quando vedi la tua faccia ovunque anche sulla carta igenica e altri oggetti, è li che capisci quando devi cominciare dopo a stare attento e tastare le acque intorno.
Siete diventati molto più saggi per quanto riguarda il modo in cui la vostra immagine viene mostrata al pubblico?
STEWART: Sinceramente non hai molto il controllo su te stesso, fidati ci sono passata molte volte ormail lo so.
Le interviste per te sono sempre state difficili, cosa vi ha aiutato?
PATTINSON: Sapere che non è importante.
Stewart: e sapere che alla maggior parte della gente non frega un cazzo.
PATTINSON: faccio interviste TV, e sono terrorizzato pensando che magari ogni singola parola viene giudicata. Ma invece capita che magari solo due persone su internet stanno giudicando quello che ho detto. Il resto delle persone, guardano e basta, epnsando o mio dio quanto è noioso.Ti accorgi che la chiave del marketing è solo quella di avere la tua faccia ovunque, e basta. Non importa cosa dici.
STEWART: stai solo così ferma. Tutti i film che hanno la pagina su Myspace usciranno nelle sale come numeri uno. OGNI SANTO FILM. Perché è così che funziona. Conta solo la faccia.
Quindi vi sentite a vostro agio a stare sotto i riflettori adesso?
STEWART: mi sento molto più a mio agio, più me stessa. E mi sento meno nuda. Sento come se adesso nessuno può prendere una parte di me. Prima sentivo come se il mio petto fosse letteralmente aperto e la gente potesse esaminarmi e prendere quello che volevano, e mi spaventava a morte.
Sei stata molto criticata per aver considerato l’ intrusione dei paparazzi come un abuso. I commenti sono esplosi, ma ti sei scusata.
STEWART: Sono così sensibile su cose del genere. Ciò significa molto per me. Ho fatto un film che riguarda proprio quest'argomento [2004, Speak], e ho fatto un altro in cui il mio personaggio ha una storia orribile di violenza sessuale [2010,Welcome to the Rileys]. Ho parlato con un sacco di persone di quanto accaduto. Ho usato la parola sbagliata. Avrei dovuto dire "violated" (violata). Ma io sono giovane ed emotiva. E 'solo il modo in cui va a volte. Non dovrei dirlo ma credo che la gente si sia fomentata solo dopo aver visto che ero stata io a dirlo. Tutto quello di cui hanno bisogno è avere un titolo succulento sul quale la gente possa cliccare, perché è facile. Ed è positivo che stiamo facendo i film sulla saga perché noi dobbiamo fare tante interviste insieme, e cosi possiamo difederci. Questo è l unico modo farci da spalla l’ uno con l'altro. Siamo qui con gli attori Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart e Taylor Lautener per parlare del film Eclipse, 3° capitolo della saga di Twilight, ma al momento nessuno è interessato a fare domande, ma tutti sono impegnati a mangiare il dolce, “Non è calda e ci andrebbe un po’ di gelato,e queste sono le due cose che la rendono straodinaria!”,dice Kristen, “ ma credo andrà bene lo stesso come sapore!”
Quando Twilight uscì nelle sale due anni fa la neo 18enne Kristen non avrebbe mai pensato di portare un dolce ad un intervista, troppo nervosa e proccupata per le domande e le risposte. Oggi la Stewart e i i suoi coprotagonisti sono molto più sciolti. La loro carriera è lanciata, La Stewart sta per iniziare la registrazione di “on the road2 Taylor è impegnato con il nuovo film “Abduction” e Pattinson sta girando con Reese Witherspoon il film “Water for Elephant”.
Gli attori hanno creato un trio molto forte ed unito, di difendono l’ uno con l’ altro, sono molto famigliari tra di loro.
In che modo Eclipse è migliore degli altri due film?
LAUTNER: decisamente è il mio preferito
PATTINSON: non è che mi piaccia poi molto (ridendo) immagina se lo pensassi veramente
STEWART: è sempre molto difficile dirlo, perché siamo legati a questi film, faccio sempre queste liste enormi in cui segno se tutto quello che ho fatto rispetta l’ equilibrio della storia. Ma so con certezza di aver toccato meno i miei capelli.
Parlando dei tuoi capelli, non ci hai giocato moltissimo in questo film.
STEWART: (ridendo) no, perché non erano i miei capelli
LAUTNER: no era una parrucca
STEWART: sto per essere veramente onesta: Si finalmente non ho più questo tic.
Le scene sentimentali hanno veramente un ruolo importante in questo film, credo
STEWART: questa è la prima volta in cui Bella indugia di più su Jacob e si accorge che ci sono due strade ugualmente importanti nella sua vita, e non solo una. Ha dovuto baciarlo per capirlo.
LAUNTER: (rivolto a Pattinson) Stai per caso facendo sollevamento pesi??
STEWART: ad essere sinceri si lo sta facendo.
LAUTNER: veramente, ha appena alzato il braccio, e un bicipide è spuntato fuori.
Per caso stai lo stai facendo per compesanre il fatto che tutti parlano sempre del corpo di Taylor?
PATTINSON: Un disperato tentativo. Ho una disfunzione del corpo. Mi resta sempre la pancia.
Una delle scene più attese è quella della tenda durante la tempesta di neve. Jacob deve riscaldare Bella con il suo corpo perchè Edward è un vampiro e non può farlo.
LAUTNER: La scena della tenda è probabilmente una delle mie preferite, perchè è la prima volta che Edward e Jacob possono veramente conoscersi e capirsi più affondo.
Quanti ciak ci sono voluti per farla tutta?
LAUTNER: Due giorni pieni di riprese, e un giorno di reshooting.
Perchè?
PATTINSON: Il regista voleva che fosse leggermente più erotica, non sto scherzando
STEWART: è vero. Nel libro c' è tantissima tensione sessuale. Anche se so dormendo, Jacob è attaccato al mio corpo così vulnerabile ed è nudo in questo fottuto saccoapelo perchè così il tuo cuore batte più velocemente, e Jacob e Edward si stanno confrontando.
Taylor, tu e Rob avete parecchi scontri fisici in questo film
LAUTNER: Alcune delle scene sono state davvero difficili per me. Abbiamo rovinato parecchi ciak davanti la casa e nella tenda. è solo che, non so. trovo difficile guardarlo..
STEWART: AH! "trovo molto difficile guardarlo"!
LAUTNER: [ride] Non avevo finito. Io e Rob siamo praticamente attaccai. siamo distanti neanche un metro, e ci stiamo urlando in faccia.
STEWART: e vi state per baciare....
LAUTNER: Alcune volte è sembrato così.
PATTINSON: Tutte le volte che dovevamo fare una scena in cui ci minacciavamo a vicenda- prima di tutto tu eri sempre senza maglietta, e così nella scena della tenda ti ho praticamente afferrato una tetta. Ed è davvero difficile rimanere concentrati in quei momenti. Inoltre, sempre nella scena della tenda, non riesco a togliermi l' idea che le parola "thought"(pensieri) suona come la parola "FART" (scoreggia).
STEWART: Anche se in realtà THOUGHT non assomiglia affatto a FART.
PATTINSON: invece si.
STEWART: Forse perchè tu sei inglese.
PATTINSON: è successo nella scena in cui la frase era "Can you at least keep your farts to yourself!" Non riuscirò mai a scordare questa frase.
Taylor hai lavorato così tanto per avere questo corpo e recitare in New Moon, Smetterai prima o poi di mettere su muscoli?? Vedremo mai una tua foto in cui i paparazzi ti hanno beccato mentre mangia una dozzina di ciambelle?
LAUTNER: Certamente passami quel contenitore e vedrai che mi mangerò tutta la torta adesso.
PATTINSON: io mangerei volentieri il contenitore.
LAUTNER: baro un sacco di volte, devo stare molto più a regime quando stiamo girando i film, o quando abbiamo qualche servizio fotografico, ma alcune volte mangio gelato o anche un pezzo di torta.
Rob quale è il segreto per non doversi mai togliere la maglietta nei film?
PATTINSON: non fare esercizi, continuo a chiedere a tutti perché sarebbe meglio se togliessi la maglietta in una scena, ma tutti quanti rispondon con mille ragioni per cui non dovrei farlo. “Non, non credo. Edward è molto più casto di così”
STEWART: “è una persona modesta. È molto più modesto!”
PATTINSON: e allora io risponderei “No, seriamente, mi piacerebbe indossare una maglietta veramente aderente che mostri un po’ di stomaco in basso. E magari essere anche un po’ sudato.”
Vi paicerebbe lavorare di nuovo in un franchise così grande?
STEWART: mi piacerebbe se fosse come questo
PATTINSON: è solo la parte della promozione, che è la più difficile. Quando vedi la tua faccia ovunque anche sulla carta igenica e altri oggetti, è li che capisci quando devi cominciare dopo a stare attento e tastare le acque intorno.
Siete diventati molto più saggi per quanto riguarda il modo in cui la vostra immagine viene mostrata al pubblico?
STEWART: Sinceramente non hai molto il controllo su te stesso, fidati ci sono passata molte volte ormail lo so.
Le interviste per te sono sempre state difficili, cosa vi ha aiutato?
PATTINSON: Sapere che non è importante.
Stewart: e sapere che alla maggior parte della gente non frega un cazzo.
PATTINSON: faccio interviste TV, e sono terrorizzato pensando che magari ogni singola parola viene giudicata. Ma invece capita che magari solo due persone su internet stanno giudicando quello che ho detto. Il resto delle persone, guardano e basta, epnsando o mio dio quanto è noioso.Ti accorgi che la chiave del marketing è solo quella di avere la tua faccia ovunque, e basta. Non importa cosa dici.
STEWART: stai solo così ferma. Tutti i film che hanno la pagina su Myspace usciranno nelle sale come numeri uno. OGNI SANTO FILM. Perché è così che funziona. Conta solo la faccia.
Quindi vi sentite a vostro agio a stare sotto i riflettori adesso?
STEWART: mi sento molto più a mio agio, più me stessa. E mi sento meno nuda. Sento come se adesso nessuno può prendere una parte di me. Prima sentivo come se il mio petto fosse letteralmente aperto e la gente potesse esaminarmi e prendere quello che volevano, e mi spaventava a morte.
Sei stata molto criticata per aver considerato l’ intrusione dei paparazzi come un abuso. I commenti sono esplosi, ma ti sei scusata.
STEWART: Sono così sensibile su cose del genere. Ciò significa molto per me. Ho fatto un film che riguarda proprio quest'argomento [2004, Speak], e ho fatto un altro in cui il mio personaggio ha una storia orribile di violenza sessuale [2010,Welcome to the Rileys]. Ho parlato con un sacco di persone di quanto accaduto. Ho usato la parola sbagliata. Avrei dovuto dire "violated" (violata). Ma io sono giovane ed emotiva. E 'solo il modo in cui va a volte. Non dovrei dirlo ma credo che la gente si sia fomentata solo dopo aver visto che ero stata io a dirlo. È stato come “Fantastico, prendiamocela con lei!” e per la gente esplodere solo per far finta di essere dei moralisti mi da veramente fastidio, è imbarazzante perché ero parte di questo.

PATTINSON: una delle cose che mi da fastidio dei siti web sulle celebrità è che ogni volta che qualcuno è famoso, la gente deve sempre dimostrare che i personaggi famosi siano molto meno disponibili delle persone normali. Perché distruggere le aspettative degli altri?? Quando sono cresciuto vedendo film come “ Qualcuno volò sul nido del cuculo”, mi facevano venire voglia di fare qualcosa. E non vuoi crede che qualcuno che ammiri…
STEWART: sia un coglione. Ma loro non vedono lora di darti del coglione quando non lo sei.
PATTINSON: quindi devi fare di tutto per promuovere te stesso positivamente, sembra stupido ma è la cosa migliore che tu possa fare.

LAUTNER: Si l ho vista.
STEWART: è venuta da me, è ua persona molto ferma la sua stretta di mano è forte, e mi ha chiesto come stavo, le ho risposto che stavo bene, ha detto “perfetto, sei nervosa?” e io ho risposto che lo ero. E lei mi ha detto “Bene ci divertiremo!” ed è andata via. E questo è quello che è successo nel backstage.
Non hai detto che eravate una coppia?
LAUTNER. Non è mai successo
STEWART: per caso oprah ha detto che l’ ho fatto? Non credo proprio. Certamente, quando siamo andati da Oprah qualcuno avrà detto “abbiamo lo scoop” ma no scusate non ce l avevano. Non ho mai detto loro niente. Perché dovrei andare da Oprah e dirlo??
Rob e Kristen, entrambi avete fatto altri film. Essere nella saga vi ha portato parecchia fortuna.
PATTINSON. Una delle cose migliori è vedere quanto è facile far partire un film. Ma non so quanto questa cosa durerà una volta terminata la saga, perché adesso puoi leggere le sceneggiature, e aver evia libera in 3 mesi. È pazzesco. È come avere il tuo studio privato.
STEWART: io ancora non riesco a fare produrre “K-11” perché dovrei fare la parte di un ragazzo. Se fossi stata una ragazza carina non avrei avuto problemi.
PATTINSON: Quanto è il budget? Posso farlo uscire io. Fammelo produrre.
STEWART: Perfavore fallo. È un progetto di cui parlo da sempre. Ma che non riesce a decollare. Mia madre e la sua collega hanno scritto la sceneggiatura insieme chiamata “K-11” che è ambientata in una prigione,e io avrei la parte di un ragazzo. Ma la gent enon vuole vedere Bella fare questo. Quindi non investono soldi.
Rob il tuo film remember me è uscito da poco. Pensi sia ingiusto quando la gente dice che Remember me non è un blockbuster e che quindi tu non puoi fare niente oltre che il vampiro Edward Cullen?
STEWART: Come quando dissero che The Runways sarebbe stato un enorme fallimento, e invece non lo è stato.
PATTINSON: remember me era il film perfetto da girar ein poco tempo. E mi è piaciuto molto. Magari poteva essere messo sotto una dicitura diversa. Ma credosia andato molto bene per un film a basso costo.
C’ è una sorta di libertà nel fare personaggi diversi da Edward?
PATTINSON: si perché penso solo al mi lavoro e non a come usciranno i poster.
Spesso pensi a come saranno i poster di twilight?
PATTINSON:Si sempre. Nessuno mi ascolta mai. (ride) adesso è difficile. Nel primo avevamo tantissima creatività, ma adesso è diventata una macchina irrefrenabile. E se decidi di fermarla, vieni licenziato. Abbiamo troppe responsabilità, quindi perché vorrei rischiare??
Taylor tu hai tratto vantaggi dalla saga?? Come è stato fare parte di questo progetto?
LAUTNER:è stata un ottima piattaforma di lancio, e ti da l’ opportunità di poter scegliere e di fare quello che vuoi. Ed è il sogno di ogni attore quello di…

LAUTNER: si e adesso scelgo progetti per cui provo profonda passione.

Cosa sei impazziente di fare?
LAUTNER. Credo di dover dire “abduction” perché lo inizierò tra 3 settimane. Interpreto un ragazzo all ultimo anno di liceo che scopre una sua foto sul un sito di persone scomparse e scopre che tutta la sua vita è stata una finzione.
Cosa pensate della carriera che Taylor sta intraprendendo?
STEWART:è così ambizioso.sono completamente diversa da lui. Eravamo su un aereo e lui mi ha chiesto cosa pensi di questo film?? Potrei farlo?? e stava parlando di questo film così importante e io ho pensanto “amico io non ne ho idea non faccio questi film”
LAUTNER: non importa. Lei è una persona eccezionale a cui chiedere consigli. Probabilmente la disturbo per tutti i consigli che le chiedo.
STEWART. Farei qualsiasi cosa per te
PATTINSON: Ecco questo suonava un po’ falso
STEWART: Vedi sto avendo un momento sincero e qualcuno pensa sempre che io stia mentendo.
State per iniziare a girare di seguito gli ultimi due film della saga.Quando avete letto il libro cosa avete pensato riguardo a come verà riportato sullo schermo?
STEWART: esattamente. Come sarà reneesme?? Sarà questa piccola bambina con i denti che corre in giro per casa??? Sarà strano!
PATTINSON: (ride) “piccola bambina dentata!”
STEWART: SI, MA SARà FICO.uno dei principali argomenti della serie èquello di vedere Bella che mutara affrontando tante scelte, e ne passa davvero tante. Nel quarto diventa moglie, madre diventa un adulta e una vampira. Farlo mentre si è così giovani, è strano, quindi sono molto eccitata di girare.
Qualcuno ha detto che BD è un libro pro stile di vita mormone perché bella decide di avere il bambino nonostante sia in pericolo la sua vita. Ti ha dato fastidio leggerlo nel libro?
STEWART: no perché ha senso. Non voler perdere il bambino che è l unica cosa a cui avrebbe dovuto rinunciare perché stava per non perdere la sua umanità. Subito dopo la sua prima notte d amore con Eward dice 2 o cazzo voglio restare umana ancora per un po’. La bambina in un certo senso è una versione più intensa di quell aspetto di una vita umana.
PATTINSON: credo che la gente crei tutti questi riferimenti alla vita mormone per poter pubblicare articoli su twilight come sul Nytimes. Anche la meyer dice che niente ha quel significato. Tutto è basato su un sogno.
I FILM SU BD saranno gli ultimi della saga. Come vi sentite ad essere arrivati quasi alla fine?
STEWART: per quanto riguarda le riprese sono quasi terminati, il tutto dovrebbe finire a marzo.
LAUTNER:sarà così strano, l’ ultimo giorno di riprese dell’ ultimo film.
STEWART:sarà anche triste, è stata una delle esperienze più assurde e durature come attrice, aver e la possibilità di seguire un personaggio per così tanto tempo.
LAUTNER: credo che terminare sarà veramente strano.
STEWART: sarà come terminare un capitolo.
LAUTNER: uno bello grosso.
STEWART: sarà come “oddio aspetta, ma quella scena..”

The stars of the scortching-hot franchise gather to dish about the new Twilight movie, Oprah, their diverging careers, and (yes) their intense feelings for each other.

Kristen Stewart comes bearing a gift. The actress — who’s gangly, strikingly beautiful, and still only 20 despite having made movies for nearly a decade — has baked her interviewer a little loquat pie, which she carries in a mini-aluminum tin, like one you’d find in a child’s Easy-Bake oven set. Stewart and costars Taylor Lautner, 18, and Robert Pattinson, 24, have gathered to talk about Eclipse, which opens June 30 and is, of course, the third installment in the phenomenally successful Twilight saga. The movie, rated PG-13 and directed by David Slade, finds Jacob (Lautner) and his werewolf pals joining forces with Edward (Pattinson) and his vampire clan to defend Bella (Stewart) against an army of new vampires. At the moment, however, no one wants to talk about the movie — the darkest and most compelling of the franchise so far. They just want to try the pie, which features fruit from Stewart’s own backyard. “It’s not warm and there’s no ice cream, and those are really the two things that would make it exceptional,” she says. “But it will be fine.”
When Twilight hit theaters a year and a half ago, Stewart never would have baked something for a reporter. Back then, she was a nervous 18-year-old who fretted over every syllable that escaped her lips and seemed terrified of the publicity circuit. Today, Stewart and her costars exude considerably more confidence. The last two Twilight movies have earned more than $1 billion worldwide and supercharged their careers. Stewart is about to shoot an adaption of a Jack Kerouac;s ‘On the Road’, Lautner’s embarking on John Singleton’s action thriller ‘Abduction’, and Pattinson’s starring alongside Reese Witherspoon as a veterinarian in a traveling circus in ‘Water for Elephants’. The actors make an extremely tight trio: honest, protective of each other, and warmly familial. In person, as on screen, Pattinson and Lautner’s mutual affection for Stewart is the tie that binds.
-How do you think Eclipse ranks against the other two films?
Taylor Lautner: It is definitely my favorite.
Robert Pattinson: I don’t like it as much. {Laughs} Could you imagine if I meant that?
Kristen Stewart: It’s always hard because you’re so close to it. I run this really intense list of, like, checks and balances to make sure everything has come across. But I know I pulled less of my hair out {watching} it.
-Speaking of your hair, you definitely don’t play with yours as much in this movie.
Stewart: {Laughs} No, because it’s not my hair.
Lautner: Nope, it was a wig.
Stewart: I’m just going to be really honest right now: Yeah, I finally dropped my tic.
-The emotional scenes in Eclipse really play well, I think.
Stewart: This is the first time that Bella actually indulges Jacob and sees that there are two very desireable paths ahead of her and not just one. It takes kissing him to see that.
Lautner: {To Pattinson} Are you lifting weights?
Stewart: Actually, he has been.
Lautner: Seriously, he was just {flexing}, and the bicep was bulging.
-Is this to compensate for everyone talking about Taylor’s body so much?
Pattinson: It is a desperate attempt. I’ve got body dysmorphia. I am stuck with my belly.
-One scene fans have been dying to see takes place in the tent during the snowstorm. Jacob warms up Bella with his body because Edward is cold-blooded and can’t do it himself.
Lautner: The tent scene is probably my favorite, because it’s the first time Edward and Jacob are actually able to connect and understand each other.
-How many takes did you go through to get that scene?
Lautner: Two days originally to film it, and then a full day of reshoots.
-Why?
Pattinson: [The director] wanted it to be more erotic. Seriously.
Stewart: It’s true. In the book there’s a serious sexual tension. As I’m sleeping, Jacob is staring over my vulnerable body, and he’s naked in this f- - -ing sleeping bag because you heat up faster that way, and Jacob and Edward are leveling with each other.
-Taylor, you and Rob have some pretty serious confrontations in this movie.
Lautner: Some of those scenes were pretty hard for me. I think we ruined a couple of takes in front of the house and in the tent. It’s just, I don’t know, I have a hard time looking at him…
Stewart: Ha! “I have such a hard time looking at him”!
Lautner: {Laughs} I wasn’t finished. He and I were thisclose to each other — we are literally, like, an inch away — and we’re screaming at each other.
Stewart: And about to kiss…
Lautner: A couple of moments it felt like that.
Pattinson: Every single time we had to do a threatening thing to each other — for one thing, you always have your shirt off, and so in the tent scene I literally grabbed your breast. And it’s very difficult to remain in the moment. Also, in that tent scene, I can’t really get over the fact that the word thought sounds like fart.
Stewart: The word thought does not sound like fart.
Pattinson: It does.
Stewart: Maybe because you are an English person.
Pattinson: The opening line of that scene is “Can you at least keep your farts to yourself?” I couldn’t quite get over that.
-Taylor, you worked so hard to get the body for New Moon. Can you ever let it go? Are we ever going to see a paparazzi shot of you eating a dozen doughnuts?
Lautner: Yeah, hand me some of that pir. I will eat that right now.
Pattinson: I will eat the container.
Lautner: I cheat all the time. I’ve got to be a lot more strict while we’re actually filming, or when a photo shoot is coming up, but I’ll eat some ice cream, some cake.
-Rob, what’s the secret to not having to take your shirt off?
Pattinson: Don’t work out. I just kept telling everyone why I needed to take my shirt off in a scene, and everyone else had to think of reasons why I shouldn’t. “No, I don’t think so — Edward is much more chaste than that.”
Stewart: “He is modest. He is much more modest.”
Pattinson: Then I’d say, “No, seriously — I would like to wear a really tight tank top and have my belly come out of the bottom. And have some sweat on it, too.”
-Would you guys want to star in a big franchise again?
Stewart: I would have to love it like this.
Pattinson: It is just the promotion part, which is the hardest part. When you see your face on, like, toilet paper and stuff, that’s when you know you have to negotiate the water very carefully afterwards.
-Have you guys become more savvy in terms of how your face and your persona are represented out there?
Stewart: Well, you don’t have a lot of control over your persona. Trust me, I’ve had a massive amount of experience with that one.
-Interviews have always been fraught for you. What helps?
Pattinson: Knowing that it doesn’t really matter.
Stewart: And knowing that most people don’t give a f—.
Pattinson: I would do TV interviews and I would be terrified, thinking that every single word would be judged. And it’s really just, like, maybe two people on the Internet who are actually judging. The rest of the people are just watching, thinking, Oh, God, boring. You realize the {key to} marketing is just having your face everywhere, and that’s it. It doesn’t matter what you say.
Stewart: Just plaster it up. Every movie that has the home page at MySpace opens at number one. Every. Single. Movie. Because it’s just there all the time. It is in everybody’s face.
-So do you feel more at peace about being in the spotlight these days?
Stewart: I just feel more comfortable, more myself, and I feel less bare. I feel much more like nobody can take anything from me. Before, I felt literally like my chest was cracked open and people could just reach in and examine and pick at anything they wanted, and it just freaked me right out.
-You got a lot of criticism recently for comparing the intrusiveness of the paparazzi to rape. The comment got blown out of proportion very quickly, and you apologized.
Stewart: I’m so sensitive about stuff like that. That is the one subject that means a lot to me. I made one movie directly concerning it, and I made another one where my character has a horrible history of rape. I talked to a lot of people about it. I used the wrong word. I should have said “violated.” But I’m young and emotional. It’s just the way it goes sometimes. I probably shouldn’t say this, but I just feel like people got so excited once they saw that it was me. It was like, “Sweet! Let’s get her!” And then for the people to exploit it under the guise of being morally upstanding is disgusting — and it embarrassed me because I was a part of it.
-Did you see it all unfold and then think, I have to issue an apology?
Stewart: No, I was in Korea when it all got bad. My publicist called me and said RAINN had issued this terrible statement.
Pattinson: Who’s Rain?
Stewart: You know, the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network.
Lautner: I thought you were talking about Rain, that Korean star, or something. I was like, What did they do? They sicced Rain on you? The Ninja Assassin?!
Pattinson: None of those associations came out and gave a statement [criticizing Kristen] without being called upon by the media first — who were doing it specifically to get hits on their websites. That whole system of Internet journalists, where no one is called to account, is almost entirely about hate. All these people get away with doing it because they have no responsibility to anyone. All they need is to get a salacious headline and people click on it, because it’s easy. And it’s quite good being part of these Twilight films because you have to give so many interviews all the time, you can defend yourself. That’s the only way. All of us stick together, as well. There are so many little nerds behind their computers, on their little blogs.
Stewart: See, if I said that? Crucifixion. You can say so much more than me. It’s insane.
Pattinson: That’s not true at all. When did I say anything {controversial}?
Stewart: You’re really good, but you could say, “I just took a s*** on the Queen’s face,” and people would be like, “Oh, I love him! I love him!”
Pattinson: That is so not true.
-Kristen, you obviously feel like you’re under more of a microscope.
Stewart: I’m a girl, and our fan base is primarily other girls. I would be the same way. I’d be like, “That b—- doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”
Pattinson: One of the things that really annoys me about the rise of all these celebreity websites is that anyone who becomes famous — people are so desperate to prove that {celebrities} are lower than the average person on the street. Why destroy any hope for anyone else? When I grew up, looking at movies like ‘One Few Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ and stuff, it made me want to do things. And you don’t want to believe that someone you admire….
Stewart: ….is an a–hole. Now they can’t wait to call you an a–hole when you’re not.
Pattinson: And any way that you can promote positivity...I know it sounds ridiculous..but it's the best thing you can possibly do.
-Taylor, how do you feel about being in the public eye? You seem comfortable.
Lautner: I get nervous, for sure.
Stewart: He gets very nervous.
Lautner: Us together.. it's not good.
Stewart: You make me feel a lot better.
Lautner: I'm glad I do.
Stewart: I am so shocked that you get nervous that it instantly takes mine away.
Lautner: Yeah, it gets your mind off it. Like at the Oscars.
Stewart: We were both so goddamn nervous.
Lautner: I was standing backstage waiting to go out, and I could feel the veins in my neck just pulsing. I was like, Whoa, I need to loosen this jacket a little bit.
Stewart: Literally, you are standing there in front of...
Lautner: ...everybody you've looked up to your entire life...
Stewart: Your whole life. And they're looking at you slightly baffled and saying, "What are you doing here?"
-What about when you guys were on Oprah recently? There was a story all over the place that Oprah talked to you backstage and demanded to know if you, Kristen and Rob, were a couple. And that you said yes. Did that really happen?
Stewart: {To Lautner} Did you see my interaction with Oprah backstage?
Lautner: Yeah. I witnessed it.
Stewart: She glided over to me, and she was strong by the way, really firm hands, and she said, "How are you?" I said, "Good." She said, "Good. Are you nervous?" I said, "Yeah, I am, but I think I'm okay." She said, "Good. We'll have fun." And then she just walked away. And that was the most I talked to her backstage.
-You didn't tell her you were a couple?
Lautner: It never happened.
Stewart: Did {Oprah herself} actually say that? I don't think she did. Of course, when we go on Oprah, someone is going to say, “We got the scoop!" No, sorry, they didn't. I never told them anything. Why would I go tell Oprah that?
-Rob and Kristen, you've both been making other movies. Being in Twilight must be a pretty good calling card.
Pattinson: One of the best things is how fast you can get a film started. I don't know how much longer it is going to last after the Twilight films finish, because now you can read a script and get it greenlit in three months. It's crazy. It's like having your own studio.
Stewart: I still can't get "K-11" made because I'm playing a boy in it. If I were playing a pretty girl, it would be done already.
Pattinson: How much is the budget? I can get it made. Let me produce it.
Stewart: Please do. There's this project that I've been talking about forever, and it just hasn't gotten off the ground. My mom and her writing partner wrote a script called "K-11" that takes place in a jail, and I would play a man. But people don't want to see Bella doing thta, so they didn't want to raise money.
-Rob, your movie "Remember Me" came out not long ago. Do you think it's unfair when people say, “Remember Me wasn't a blockbuster, therefore he can't do anything besides Edward Cullen?
Stewart: Like, “The Runaways was an enormous failure," which it so wasn't.
Pattinson: "Remember Me" was the perfect movie to do for such a short period of time. And I really liked it. I guess maybe it could have been marketed differently. But I think it did really well for a small-budget thing.
-Is there freedom in doing a different role from Edward?
Pattinson: Yeah. And I think, Oh, I only have to do my job. I don't have to think about how the poster should be.
-Did you find yourself thinking about the poster for Twilight?
Pattinson: Yeah, all the time. No one ever listens to me. {Laughs} It's difficult now. On the first one we had so much more creative input, but now it's so huge that it's too big to steer. And if you want to say “I'm going to steer the whole Twilight machine, you get fired. And the other thing is, it's way too much responsibility. Why would you ever want that?
-Taylor, you've taken advantage of the opportunities that Twilight has given you. What has this ride been like?
Lautner: This was an amazing platform, and it gives you the opportunity to be picky and do what you want to do..and that is the actor's dream, to be able...
Stewart: ..to choose stuff.
Lautner: Yeah, and now I'm choosing projects that I'm extremely passionate about.
Stewart: {Fondly} You cute-ass motherf***er.
-What are you most excited about?
Lautner: I'd have to say "Abduction", because I start in three weeks. I play a high school senior who finds a picture of himself on a missing-persons website and realizes his whole life has been a lie.
-What do you guys think of the career choices Taylor is making?
Stewart: It's crazy how ambitious he is. I'm so different from him. We were on the plane and he said, “So what do you think I should do about this?" And it was concerning his massive movie, and I was like, “Dude, I don't make movies like that. I don't know."
Lautner: It doesn't matter. She's an excellent person to go to for advice. I probably bug her because I go to her for advice so much.
Stewart: Taylor, I would do anything for you.
Pattinson: Okay, that sounded like the most insincere thing.
Stewart: See, you actually have a real moment and people just think that you're lying.
-You guys are about to start shooting the two Breaking Dawn movies back to back. You signed on to this franchise before Breaking Dawn was written. When you read it, were you thinking, How is this going to be turned into a movie?
Stewart: Yeah, definitely. What is Renesmee going to look like? Is it going to be this little teeth-baby running around? It's going to be weird.
Pattinson: {Laughs} “"Little teeth-baby."
Stewart: Yeah, but I think it's going to be cool. One of the main objectives of the series is to get Bella to a point where she's mature enough to make such a hefty decision, and she goes through a lot. In the fourth one, she is going to become a wife. She is going to become a mom. She is going to become an adult and a vampire. To do it so young, it needs to be believable. So I’m really excited about playing that.
-Some people read Breaking Dawn as very pro-life and Mormon because Bella decides to have her baby even though it's endangering her life. Did any of that bother you when you read the book?
Stewart: No, because it made sense. Not wanting to give up the baby is about her holding onto that last thing that she would have to give up if she was not human anymore. Right after she and Edward sleep with each other for the first time, she says, “Oh, f***, I might want to be human for a little bit longer." The baby is just an even more intense version of that.
Pattinson: I think people make up all these Mormon references just so they can publish Twilight articles in respectable publications like the New York Times. Even Stephenie {Meyer} said it doesn't mean any of that. It is based on a dream.
-The Breaking Dawn movies are the last in the series. How do you feel about all of this coming to a conclusion soon?
Stewart: In terms of shooting them, they're almost done. We're going to be done by March.
Lautner: It will be so weird, the last day of filming that last movie.
Stewart: It will be sad, too. It's been one of the most crazy, indulgent experiences as an actor, to be able to follow a character for this long.
Lautner: I think stopping will be very weird.
Stewart: It will just feel like a chapter has been closed.
Lautner: A big chapter.
Stewart: I'm going to be like, “But wait, there's this scene!"

Qualcuno ha detto che BD è un libro pro stile di vita mormone perché bella decide di avere il bambino nonostante sia in pericolo la sua vita. Ti ha dato fastidio leggerlo nel libro?
STEWART: no perché ha senso. Non voler perdere il bambino che è l unica cosa a cui avrebbe dovuto rinunciare perché stava per non perdere la sua umanità. Subito dopo la sua prima notte d amore con Eward dice 2 o cazzo voglio restare umana ancora per un po’. La bambina in un certo senso è una versione più intensa di quell aspetto di una vita umana.

The stars of the scortching-hot franchise gather to dish about the new Twilight movie, Oprah, their diverging careers, and (yes) their intense feelings for each other.

Kristen Stewart comes bearing a gift. The actress — who’s gangly, strikingly beautiful, and still only 20 despite having made movies for nearly a decade — has baked her interviewer a little loquat pie, which she carries in a mini-aluminum tin, like one you’d find in a child’s Easy-Bake oven set. Stewart and costars Taylor Lautner, 18, and Robert Pattinson, 24, have gathered to talk about Eclipse, which opens June 30 and is, of course, the third installment in the phenomenally successful Twilight saga. The movie, rated PG-13 and directed by David Slade, finds Jacob (Lautner) and his werewolf pals joining forces with Edward (Pattinson) and his vampire clan to defend Bella (Stewart) against an army of new vampires. At the moment, however, no one wants to talk about the movie — the darkest and most compelling of the franchise so far. They just want to try the pie, which features fruit from Stewart’s own backyard. “It’s not warm and there’s no ice cream, and those are really the two things that would make it exceptional,” she says. “But it will be fine.”
When Twilight hit theaters a year and a half ago, Stewart never would have baked something for a reporter. Back then, she was a nervous 18-year-old who fretted over every syllable that escaped her lips and seemed terrified of the publicity circuit. Today, Stewart and her costars exude considerably more confidence. The last two Twilight movies have earned more than $1 billion worldwide and supercharged their careers. Stewart is about to shoot an adaption of a Jack Kerouac;s ‘On the Road’, Lautner’s embarking on John Singleton’s action thriller ‘Abduction’, and Pattinson’s starring alongside Reese Witherspoon as a veterinarian in a traveling circus in ‘Water for Elephants’. The actors make an extremely tight trio: honest, protective of each other, and warmly familial. In person, as on screen, Pattinson and Lautner’s mutual affection for Stewart is the tie that binds.
-How do you think Eclipse ranks against the other two films?
Taylor Lautner: It is definitely my favorite.
Robert Pattinson: I don’t like it as much. {Laughs} Could you imagine if I meant that?
Kristen Stewart: It’s always hard because you’re so close to it. I run this really intense list of, like, checks and balances to make sure everything has come across. But I know I pulled less of my hair out {watching} it.
-Speaking of your hair, you definitely don’t play with yours as much in this movie.
Stewart: {Laughs} No, because it’s not my hair.
Lautner: Nope, it was a wig.
Stewart: I’m just going to be really honest right now: Yeah, I finally dropped my tic.
-The emotional scenes in Eclipse really play well, I think.
Stewart: This is the first time that Bella actually indulges Jacob and sees that there are two very desireable paths ahead of her and not just one. It takes kissing him to see that.
Lautner: {To Pattinson} Are you lifting weights?
Stewart: Actually, he has been.
Lautner: Seriously, he was just {flexing}, and the bicep was bulging.
-Is this to compensate for everyone talking about Taylor’s body so much?
Pattinson: It is a desperate attempt. I’ve got body dysmorphia. I am stuck with my belly.
-One scene fans have been dying to see takes place in the tent during the snowstorm. Jacob warms up Bella with his body because Edward is cold-blooded and can’t do it himself.
Lautner: The tent scene is probably my favorite, because it’s the first time Edward and Jacob are actually able to connect and understand each other.
-How many takes did you go through to get that scene?
Lautner: Two days originally to film it, and then a full day of reshoots.
-Why?
Pattinson: [The director] wanted it to be more erotic. Seriously.
Stewart: It’s true. In the book there’s a serious sexual tension. As I’m sleeping, Jacob is staring over my vulnerable body, and he’s naked in this f- - -ing sleeping bag because you heat up faster that way, and Jacob and Edward are leveling with each other.
-Taylor, you and Rob have some pretty serious confrontations in this movie.
Lautner: Some of those scenes were pretty hard for me. I think we ruined a couple of takes in front of the house and in the tent. It’s just, I don’t know, I have a hard time looking at him…
Stewart: Ha! “I have such a hard time looking at him”!
Lautner: {Laughs} I wasn’t finished. He and I were thisclose to each other — we are literally, like, an inch away — and we’re screaming at each other.
Stewart: And about to kiss…
Lautner: A couple of moments it felt like that.

Lautner: I cheat all the time. I’ve got to be a lot more strict while we’re actually filming, or when a photo shoot is coming up, but I’ll eat some ice cream, some cake.
-Rob, what’s the secret to not having to take your shirt off?
Pattinson: Don’t work out. I just kept telling everyone why I needed to take my shirt off in a scene, and everyone else had to think of reasons why I shouldn’t. “No, I don’t think so — Edward is much more chaste than that.”
Stewart: “He is modest. He is much more modest.”
Pattinson: Then I’d say, “No, seriously — I would like to wear a really tight tank top and have my belly come out of the bottom. And have some sweat on it, too.”
-Would you guys want to star in a big franchise again?
Stewart: I would have to love it like this.
Pattinson: It is just the promotion part, which is the hardest part. When you see your face on, like, toilet paper and stuff, that’s when you know you have to negotiate the water very carefully afterwards.
-Have you guys become more savvy in terms of how your face and your persona are represented out there?
Stewart: Well, you don’t have a lot of control over your persona. Trust me, I’ve had a massive amount of experience with that one.
-Interviews have always been fraught for you. What helps?
Pattinson: Knowing that it doesn’t really matter.
Stewart: And knowing that most people don’t give a f—.
Pattinson: I would do TV interviews and I would be terrified, thinking that every single word would be judged. And it’s really just, like, maybe two people on the Internet who are actually judging. The rest of the people are just watching, thinking, Oh, God, boring. You realize the {key to} marketing is just having your face everywhere, and that’s it. It doesn’t matter what you say.
Stewart: Just plaster it up. Every movie that has the home page at MySpace opens at number one. Every. Single. Movie. Because it’s just there all the time. It is in everybody’s face.
-So do you feel more at peace about being in the spotlight these days?
Stewart: I just feel more comfortable, more myself, and I feel less bare. I feel much more like nobody can take anything from me. Before, I felt literally like my chest was cracked open and people could just reach in and examine and pick at anything they wanted, and it just freaked me right out.
-You got a lot of criticism recently for comparing the intrusiveness of the paparazzi to rape. The comment got blown out of proportion very quickly, and you apologized.
Stewart: I’m so sensitive about stuff like that. That is the one subject that means a lot to me. I made one movie directly concerning it, and I made another one where my character has a horrible history of rape. I talked to a lot of people about it. I used the wrong word. I should have said “violated.” But I’m young and emotional. It’s just the way it goes sometimes. I probably shouldn’t say this, but I just feel like people got so excited once they saw that it was me. It was like, “Sweet! Let’s get her!” And then for the people to exploit it under the guise of being morally upstanding is disgusting — and it embarrassed me because I was a part of it.
-Did you see it all unfold and then think, I have to issue an apology?
Stewart: No, I was in Korea when it all got bad. My publicist called me and said RAINN had issued this terrible statement.
Pattinson: Who’s Rain?
Stewart: You know, the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network.
Lautner: I thought you were talking about Rain, that Korean star, or something. I was like, What did they do? They sicced Rain on you? The Ninja Assassin?!
Pattinson: None of those associations came out and gave a statement [criticizing Kristen] without being called upon by the media first — who were doing it specifically to get hits on their websites. That whole system of Internet journalists, where no one is called to account, is almost entirely about hate. All these people get away with doing it because they have no responsibility to anyone. All they need is to get a salacious headline and people click on it, because it’s easy. And it’s quite good being part of these Twilight films because you have to give so many interviews all the time, you can defend yourself. That’s the only way. All of us stick together, as well. There are so many little nerds behind their computers, on their little blogs.
Stewart: See, if I said that? Crucifixion. You can say so much more than me. It’s insane.
Pattinson: That’s not true at all. When did I say anything {controversial}?
Stewart: You’re really good, but you could say, “I just took a s*** on the Queen’s face,” and people would be like, “Oh, I love him! I love him!”
Pattinson: That is so not true.
-Kristen, you obviously feel like you’re under more of a microscope.
Stewart: I’m a girl, and our fan base is primarily other girls. I would be the same way. I’d be like, “That b—- doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”
Pattinson: One of the things that really annoys me about the rise of all these celebreity websites is that anyone who becomes famous — people are so desperate to prove that {celebrities} are lower than the average person on the street. Why destroy any hope for anyone else? When I grew up, looking at movies like ‘One Few Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ and stuff, it made me want to do things. And you don’t want to believe that someone you admire….
Stewart: ….is an a–hole. Now they can’t wait to call you an a–hole when you’re not.
Pattinson: And any way that you can promote positivity...I know it sounds ridiculous..but it's the best thing you can possibly do.
-Taylor, how do you feel about being in the public eye? You seem comfortable.
Lautner: I get nervous, for sure.
Stewart: He gets very nervous.
Lautner: Us together.. it's not good.
Stewart: You make me feel a lot better.
Lautner: I'm glad I do.
Stewart: I am so shocked that you get nervous that it instantly takes mine away.
Lautner: Yeah, it gets your mind off it. Like at the Oscars.
Stewart: We were both so goddamn nervous.
Lautner: I was standing backstage waiting to go out, and I could feel the veins in my neck just pulsing. I was like, Whoa, I need to loosen this jacket a little bit.
Stewart: Literally, you are standing there in front of...
Lautner: ...everybody you've looked up to your entire life...
Stewart: Your whole life. And they're looking at you slightly baffled and saying, "What are you doing here?"
-What about when you guys were on Oprah recently? There was a story all over the place that Oprah talked to you backstage and demanded to know if you, Kristen and Rob, were a couple. And that you said yes. Did that really happen?
Stewart: {To Lautner} Did you see my interaction with Oprah backstage?
Lautner: Yeah. I witnessed it.
Stewart: She glided over to me, and she was strong by the way, really firm hands, and she said, "How are you?" I said, "Good." She said, "Good. Are you nervous?" I said, "Yeah, I am, but I think I'm okay." She said, "Good. We'll have fun." And then she just walked away. And that was the most I talked to her backstage.
-You didn't tell her you were a couple?
Lautner: It never happened.
Stewart: Did {Oprah herself} actually say that? I don't think she did. Of course, when we go on Oprah, someone is going to say, “We got the scoop!" No, sorry, they didn't. I never told them anything. Why would I go tell Oprah that?
-Rob and Kristen, you've both been making other movies. Being in Twilight must be a pretty good calling card.
Pattinson: One of the best things is how fast you can get a film started. I don't know how much longer it is going to last after the Twilight films finish, because now you can read a script and get it greenlit in three months. It's crazy. It's like having your own studio.
Stewart: I still can't get "K-11" made because I'm playing a boy in it. If I were playing a pretty girl, it would be done already.
Pattinson: How much is the budget? I can get it made. Let me produce it.
Stewart: Please do. There's this project that I've been talking about forever, and it just hasn't gotten off the ground. My mom and her writing partner wrote a script called "K-11" that takes place in a jail, and I would play a man. But people don't want to see Bella doing thta, so they didn't want to raise money.
-Rob, your movie "Remember Me" came out not long ago. Do you think it's unfair when people say, “Remember Me wasn't a blockbuster, therefore he can't do anything besides Edward Cullen?
Stewart: Like, “The Runaways was an enormous failure," which it so wasn't.
Pattinson: "Remember Me" was the perfect movie to do for such a short period of time. And I really liked it. I guess maybe it could have been marketed differently. But I think it did really well for a small-budget thing.
-Is there freedom in doing a different role from Edward?
Pattinson: Yeah. And I think, Oh, I only have to do my job. I don't have to think about how the poster should be.
-Did you find yourself thinking about the poster for Twilight?
Pattinson: Yeah, all the time. No one ever listens to me. {Laughs} It's difficult now. On the first one we had so much more creative input, but now it's so huge that it's too big to steer. And if you want to say “I'm going to steer the whole Twilight machine, you get fired. And the other thing is, it's way too much responsibility. Why would you ever want that?
-Taylor, you've taken advantage of the opportunities that Twilight has given you. What has this ride been like?
Lautner: This was an amazing platform, and it gives you the opportunity to be picky and do what you want to do..and that is the actor's dream, to be able...
Stewart: ..to choose stuff.
Lautner: Yeah, and now I'm choosing projects that I'm extremely passionate about.
Stewart: {Fondly} You cute-ass motherf***er.
-What are you most excited about?
Lautner: I'd have to say "Abduction", because I start in three weeks. I play a high school senior who finds a picture of himself on a missing-persons website and realizes his whole life has been a lie.
-What do you guys think of the career choices Taylor is making?
Stewart: It's crazy how ambitious he is. I'm so different from him. We were on the plane and he said, “So what do you think I should do about this?" And it was concerning his massive movie, and I was like, “Dude, I don't make movies like that. I don't know."
Lautner: It doesn't matter. She's an excellent person to go to for advice. I probably bug her because I go to her for advice so much.
Stewart: Taylor, I would do anything for you.
Pattinson: Okay, that sounded like the most insincere thing.
Stewart: See, you actually have a real moment and people just think that you're lying.
-You guys are about to start shooting the two Breaking Dawn movies back to back. You signed on to this franchise before Breaking Dawn was written. When you read it, were you thinking, How is this going to be turned into a movie?
Stewart: Yeah, definitely. What is Renesmee going to look like? Is it going to be this little teeth-baby running around? It's going to be weird.
Pattinson: {Laughs} “"Little teeth-baby."
Stewart: Yeah, but I think it's going to be cool. One of the main objectives of the series is to get Bella to a point where she's mature enough to make such a hefty decision, and she goes through a lot. In the fourth one, she is going to become a wife. She is going to become a mom. She is going to become an adult and a vampire. To do it so young, it needs to be believable. So I’m really excited about playing that.
-Some people read Breaking Dawn as very pro-life and Mormon because Bella decides to have her baby even though it's endangering her life. Did any of that bother you when you read the book?
Stewart: No, because it made sense. Not wanting to give up the baby is about her holding onto that last thing that she would have to give up if she was not human anymore. Right after she and Edward sleep with each other for the first time, she says, “Oh, f***, I might want to be human for a little bit longer." The baby is just an even more intense version of that.
Pattinson: I think people make up all these Mormon references just so they can publish Twilight articles in respectable publications like the New York Times. Even Stephenie {Meyer} said it doesn't mean any of that. It is based on a dream.
-The Breaking Dawn movies are the last in the series. How do you feel about all of this coming to a conclusion soon?
Stewart: In terms of shooting them, they're almost done. We're going to be done by March.
Lautner: It will be so weird, the last day of filming that last movie.
Stewart: It will be sad, too. It's been one of the most crazy, indulgent experiences as an actor, to be able to follow a character for this long.
Lautner: I think stopping will be very weird.
Stewart: It will just feel like a chapter has been closed.
Lautner: A big chapter.
Stewart: I'm going to be like, “But wait, there's this scene!"

Taylor: It’s a lot more intense. We loved what we’ve seen of it.
What do you guys like the most about your characters?
Kristen: I like everything about Bella. I’m a big fan of hers. In every movie I try to add a little bit of myself to her and that’s because I relate to her a lot. She’s so weird! She thinks a lot about what she’sgoing to say or do, like me.
Rob: I like that Edward is so agressive but humble as well. He’s like this humble gentleman, but there’s this really aggresive and dangerous part of him too.
Taylor: Jacob is a lot of fun. He likes to laugh and have fun. It’s fun playing him.
What are you dying to see onscreen?
Rob: Bella! Can’t wait to see when she cheats on me. It’s a great scene, you’ll see.
Kristen: I can’t wait to see the love triangle. We had seen a very innocent contact between Bella and Jacob in New Moon, but in Eclipse it’s more real. I’ve always supported Bella’s devotion to Edward, but I think it’s going to be interesting to see her betraying him.
What was the hardest scene for you guys to film?
Rob: Itwas hard for me to propose so formally to Bella. The first timeI read the script, I was terrified. I thought it was impossible.
Kristen and Taylor (at the same time): A Jacob and Bella scene (laughs).
Really? What happened in that scene?
Taylor: Jacob, in his wolf shape, is being pet by Bella and she scratches his ear.
Kristen: Yeah, it’s a scene where I’m talking to the wolf, but he’s not there, so I had to pretend he was there. I didn’t know what to do without his support, so Taylor offered to be a stand in.
Kristen, what was it like to kiss Taylor so passionately?
Kristen: It was very weird kissing someone else, because Bella loves Edward so I don’t know what the hell she was thinking. Plus, it was weird to me because Taylor is like my little brother.
What was your favorite scene to watch on screen?
Kristen: When they fight for me. I also liked the sleeping bag scene with Jacob,that was hilarious.
Taylor: Yes, I have tol hold her inside the sleeping bag because she’s cold, but Edward can hear my thoughts.
Rob: It’s a great scene, definitely.
How did you prepare for the fight scene in Eclipse?
Kristen: I gotta feeling, by The Black Eyed Peas (laughs).

Gli attori parlano di Eclipse, Come sempre le interviste di Robert iniziano con lui che subisce una "palpata" di capelli", Robert ovviamente apprezza il suo nuovo taglio non si sente come Sansone, anzi spera che Edward abbia un nuovo taglio in BD perchè gli piacciono i suoi nuovi capelli.
Parlano della gelosia di Edward in questo nuovo film e lui afferma che si, è geloso perchè in questo film c' è questo ragazzo che cerca di portargli via Bella e quindi lui scopre questo nuovo lato di se stesso, che cerca di combattere per la sua ragazza come farebbe un normale 17enne.
Parlano anche del suo rapporto con Taylor e di come era difficile dover recitare scene di gelosia soprattutto perchè alla fine a telecamere spente lui scoppiava subito a ridere. Robert inoltre rivela che Taylor in Eclispe ha una scena di nudo, che per Robert è stata molto divertente, perchè faceva freddissimo pioveva e Taylor era accovacciato a terra morto dal freddo, mentre Rob faceva finta continuamente di scordare la sua battua.
A Taylor e Kristen parlano del difficile momento del bacio, entrambi hanno un rapporto molto saldo, come fratello e sorella e doversi baciare è stato difficile, Kristen afferma che ogni volta che dovevano girare la scena lei ripeteva "Non posso crederci stiamo per baciarci" e Taylor conferma che alla fine della scena lei lo ha guardato dopo un minuto di silenzio e gli ha detto "ok ci siamo appena baciati!!" A kristen viene chiesto se si sente a suo agio in questa suona nuova veste di celebrità e lei dice di si si sente a suo agio, ma spesso le viene detto che non lo dimostra, ma lei non può farci niente, se non decidere di farsi far eun trapianto di faccia per cambiare espressione. Quando le dicono cosa ne pensa della gente che dice che lei non sorride mai, lei risponde che non è vero e che sembra quasi che le fotocamere prendano sempre lo scatto del suo volto quando lei ha appena finito di ridere, afferma che si diverte molto durante le interviste ma che nelle foto non esce mai.
Taylor anche ripete che è stato difficile girare le scene di "Lotta" con Robert perchè loro sono molto amici e o finivano per rovinare la scena ridendo oppure subito dopo il ciak ridevano per ore.

Gli viene chiesto se era arrabbiato con lo studio per la mancanza di vestiti nel guardaroba di Jacob perchè anche a lui piacerebbe stare al caldo mentre lavora.
Di nuovo parlano del fatto che si è dovuto allenare continuamente, anche se afferma che restare in forma è stato difficile a causa dell' estenuante tour promozionale che gli impediva di andare in palestra.
Alla fine conclude con la domanda riguardo BD in due film. Taylor è molto contento per questo visto che adora lavorare con il cast.
