baby Renesmee Cullen will be a CGI character

Era chiaro che Mackenzie Foy avrebbe avuto bisogno di un "aiutino" dalla tecnologia, ed ecco qualche prima indiscrezione sulle tecniche CGI che stanno per essere utilizzate in The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn (ndr per intenderci vi ricordate Brad Pitt ne "Il Curioso Caso di Benjamin Button"? ).
Ecco quanto riporta il sito Miss Mackenzie :
"Il team CGI sta per utilizzare un mix tra la "Motion Capture" e il "Live Action". Mackenzie verrà filmata in tutte le sue mimiche facciali da una telecamera posizionata su un berretto puntata sul suo volto. Le informazioni raccolte sulle sue espressioni, del viso e degli occhi, verranno poi trasmesse al computer.
Come vi avevamo riportato in Ottobre, la faccia dell'attrice verrà digitalmente trasferita sulla faccia ed il corpo di una bambina molto più piccola per creare l'illusione della rapida crescita del personaggio ( come noi ben sappiamo ). Oltre all'acquisizione sul computer della telecamera puntata direttamente sul volto della Foy, vi saranno altre camere che daranno diversi angoli digitali dell'artista in diverse angolazioni. Alla fine tutte le "motion capture" e le "live action" verranno mescolate e daranno vita a Renesmee Cullen sullo schermo."

"Happy Tuesday everyone We now have more info about the CGI techniques that are going to be used in Breaking Dawn to rapidly age Mackenzie’s character Renesmee. The CGI team is going to use a mixture of ‘Motion Capture’ and ‘Live Action’ Photography by fitting Mackenzie with an individually made skull cap fitted with a tiny camera positioned in front of her face. Like Avatar, the information collected about her facial expressions and eyes is then transmitted to computers.

As reported back in October Mackenzie’s face will then be digitally transferred onto the face and body of a younger child to create the illusion of her character’s rapid ageing. Besides the performance capture data which will be transferred directly to the computers, numerous reference cameras will give the digital artists multiple angles of each performance. All live action and motion capture footage will then be composited on screen."
