"Venerdì 22 gennaio alle 20 ora newyorchese (verso le 2 del mattino in Italia ) tutte le MTV del mondo trasmetteranno un telethon per la raccolta di fondi a sostegno del terremoto di Haiti.Collegati a MTV.it per assistere a Hope for Haiti Now, maratona mediatica che ospiterà più di cento nomi del cinema, della TV e della musica, presentata da Wyclef Jean a New York e da George Clooney a Los Angeles, con collegamenti da Haiti con Anderson Cooper della CNN.Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira e Sting saranno negli studi di New York, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift e una Group Performance con Keith Urban, Kid Rock e Sheryl Crow saranno a Los Angeles. Dall'altra parte dell'Oceano - a Londra - prenderanno parte all'evento Coldplay, Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z e Rihanna che si esibiranno insieme in un'inedita formazione. Tutte le performance eseguite durante la serata saranno acquistabili sull'Apple® iTunes® Store a 99 cents a partire da sabato 23 gennaio: tutto il ricavato sarà devoluto alle associazioni benefiche scelte da Hope for Haiti Now. Tutti i fondi raccolti saranno equamente suddivisi tra cinque organizzazioni umanitarie internazionali già operanti sull'isola: Oxfam America, Partners in Health, la Croce Rossa, UNICEF eYele Haiti Foundation. " Robert Pattinson è a bordo.Ho appena ricevuto la notizia che la star Twilight ha firmato per Telethon Haiti. Al momento, sembra che Rob sarà l'unico presentatore a Londra, con le esibizioni di Jay-Z e Bono."

More than 100 stars have signed on to help raise funds for the MTV Networks-sponsored show, which will benefit the victims of last week's devastating 7.0-magnitude earthquake on the impoverished island.
Several one-of-a-kind collaborations will highlight the event, including a hookup between U2's Bono and The Edge with Jay-Z and Rihanna in London and a jam featuring Kid Rock, Keith Urban and Sheryl Crow in Los Angeles; like all the night's performances, the collabos will be available for download on iTunes for 99 cents the next day.
