Grazie ad ACCESS HOLLYWOOD sappiamo quale è stata la reazione di Rachelle alla notizia del suo diciamo così Rimpiazzo per il film Eclipse.
L' attrice è rimasta basita dalla decisione della Summit di cercare un' altra attrice per il ruolo di Victoria.
Lei era completamente assorbita e impegnata in questo progetto, ama il personaggio che ha interpretato e prova un profondo affetto per il cast che ha lavorato con lei, per la saga lei ha rifiutato molti ruoli, accettando solo quelli che avevano termini di scadenza a breve durata.Il suo ruolo in "barney's version" richiedeva soltanto la sua presenza sul set per 10 giorni, mentre le riprese di Eclipse sarebbero durate 3 mesi. " La Summit ha detto che questi 10 giorni avrebbe riportato dei problemi per il mio ruolo e che quindi non mi avrebbero aggevolata. Non ho mai pensato che perdere 10 giorni di riprese sarebbe stato un problema. Il mio contratto con la Summit mi andava benissimo ed ero pronta a onorare i miei impegni per tutta la durata della saga o per lo meno del mio personaggio.ma la Summit ha semplicemente decisono di rifare i provini per il mio ruolo."
L' attrice ha aggiunto con un pò di rammarico
"Sono molto dispiaciuta di non poter portare a termine il percorso intrapreso con il mio personaggio, soprattutto per i fans che mi hanno sostenuta. Amo veramente questa storia ma soprattutto amo il personaggio che interpretavo. Sono molto riconoscente per il sostegno e l' amroe che i fans mi hanno mostrato fin dall' inizio e sono veramente ferita dalla decisione improvvisa della Summit di rimpiazzarmi.Auguro a tutto il cast e crew del film Eclipse una buona fortuna per le riprese che stanno per cominciare".
Che dire questa intervista mi ha personalmente rattristato molto, non solo perchè nonostante la sua dedizione Rachelle è stata rimpiazzata senza preavviso e soprattutto senza una motivazione valida, ma anche perchè l' attrice teneva veramente a questo ruolo e vi si era dedicata con passione.
A mio parere la Summit ha fatto una manovra molto azzardata auguriamo a RACHELLE buona fortuna per tutto ma soprattutto ci auguriamo che Bryce Dallas Howard faccia un buon lavoro con il personaggio che fino ad ora era stato in buone mani!!

Entertainment announced the replacement of “Twilight Saga” star Rachelle Lefevre in the series’ third film, “Eclipse,” on Tuesday night – and fans weren’t the only ones surprised by the news, Rachelle was shocked as well! “I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’” Rachelle said in a statement to Access Hollywood. On Tuesday, Summit announced that Bryce Dallas Howard would be taking on the role in “Eclipse,” due in May 2010. “I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.” The star concluded her statement with a regretful tone. “I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best,” she said.
